An Equinoctial Message

People gather at Gibralfaro Castle, Malaga, to watch the setting sun.

Sunset, Malaga

I’m sure you’ve all been noticing the short days getting longer and the long nights getting shorter. Well we’ve finally reached the vernal equinox, when, in a rare moment of equilibrium, our twenty four hour day is evenly divided between night and day.

It’s not an easy event to show in a photograph, but I thought this image, taken a few days ago, at Malaga’s Gibralfaro Castle, might serve to illustrate the sun bringing new life to the fields and trees around us.

Wishing you all a rebirth this spring.
